She was a member of a highly regarded East Adair County family. She attended Freedom Church of God and had retired from First National Bank in Russell Springs, KY, after a 32 year career

Fay Devore age 73 years a resident of Summit Manor Health and Rehab Center in Columbia, KY formerly of the Freedom Community passed away Monday, March 21, 2011 at 4pmCT at Summit Manor.

Funeral service Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at 1pmCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Carlie Riggs and Bro. Scott Allen, the officiating clergy. Interment in Freedom Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4pmCT, Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at the funeral home.

She was born on Sunday, June 20, 1937 in Adair Co., KY,She was the daughter of the late Hallie W. and Callie J. Bailey Huff. She died Monday, March 21, 2011, in Columbia, Adair Co., KY, at the age of 73 years, 9 months, and 1 days.She is survived by the following:
  • Three sons: Bobby Devore and his wife Teresa of Columbia, KY; Lonnie Devore and his wife Connie of Columbia, KY; Lionel Devore and his wife Mary of Glasgow, KY

  • One daughter: Renee Janes of Columbia, KY

  • One brother: Leon Huff of Columbia, KY

  • Four sisters: Lacona Bryant of Columbia, KY; Fern Roy of Columbia, KY; Lora Atchley of Columbia, KY; Lois White of Columbia, KY

  • Seven grandchildren

  • Two step-grandchildren

  • Four great grandchildren

  • One step great grand child

  • Several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends survive
She attended the Freedom Church of God and was retired from the First National Bank in Russell Springs, KY where she had worked for 32 years

Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY, in charge of arrangements.
