Letter: Wants to Help Homeless Veterans

Kathy Coomer Cox writes:
Ed,

I remember reading a comment/appreciation from a veteran last fall in regard to the community support to the Relay for Life and Crusade for Children. However, he went on to say (I am paraphrasing) that he would like to see such support for the homeless veterans.

My husband, Brad, and I have the desire to help them (both of our fathers were WWII vets). If you could locate that entry and are allowed to pass his contact info on to us, we would greatly appreciate it. We feel we may be in a position shortly to pass on some assistance to them.

Thank you,
Kathy
Kathy, Thanks for writing--we're pleased that the article moved you, and that it might result in action. The article you mention is: A plea to help struggling U.S. veterans. I'll see if I can't find contact information for Mr. Jones, as well.
