Injury accident at Burkesville RD/Veterans Highway March 3, 2011 Occupants of both vehicles transported to Westlake Regional Hospital On March 3, 2011 Columbia Police responded to a two-vehicle injury accident at the junction of Burkesville RD and the Adair Veterans Memorial Highway. According to Columbia Police, the accident occurred when a 2003 Ford Windstar van being operated by Nelda Sue Rowe, 81, of Columbia, KY, failed to yield right of way and struck a 1999 Dodge Caravan being operated by Katie McKinney, 63, of Columbia, KY. Nelda Sue Rowe, Katie McKinney, and a passenger in McKinney vehicle, Robert McKinney, were transported by Adair County EMS to Westlake Regional Hospital, in Columbia, KY.Seatbelts were in use. The accident was investigated by CPD officer Tracy McCarol with assistance from Adair County Sheriff's Department. This story was posted on 2011-03-04 15:56:21
