Frankfort, KY -Seven Lindsey Wilson College cheerleaders were honored Wednesday night by the Mid-South Conference. The seven LWC cheerleaders were honored during the MSC's annual cheerleading competition, held at the Frankfort Civic Center. Overall, LWC placed fourth in the seven-team competition.
Six LWC cheerleaders received MSC All-Academic honors, and two LWC cheerleaders were named to the MSC All-Conference squad.
Receiving All-Academic honors were: Korianne Cox of Columbia; Heather Gordon of Stanford, KY; Kayla Johnson of Hawesville, KY; Dorothy Karcher of Worthville, KY; Emily Keeton of Monticello, KY; and Kelsey Whelan of Rineyville, KY.
Cheerleaders who receive MSC All-Academic honors have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and be a member of the sophomore class or higher.
Named to the MSC All-Conference squad were Gordon and Lizzie Lieske of Sebree, KY A total of 14 cheerleaders were named to the All-Conference squad.
