JIM: Bon Mot on living a long life Yesterday (Feb. 27th), Mr. Frank Wood Buckles, the last U.S veteran of World War One, died at the age of 110 years and 26 days. Today's Washington Post has an extraordinarily good article about Mr. Buckles, including this quip his son-in-law overheard him proffer a few years ago in answer to a question about his longevity: "When you think you're dying, don't." -Jim This story was posted on 2011-02-28 10:45:35
