Help! Bees are keeping birds away! Comments re article 42526 Great Backyard Bird Count is underway Pam Dailey-McNeiley writes: Our feeders, tables and ground have been swarmed by bees keeping the birds away. I took the feed away yesterday trying to get them to leave, but today the bees are back and no birds. I tried a yellow jacket trap but none were interested; they look like a honeybee and I certainly do not want to kill them. Any suggestions out there? Can I put some food source a few feet away from the feeders that the bees would prefer so the birds will come back?PamAny ideas are welcome at CM.
