Whoop-eee!. We have had enough winter.Come on Spring!

It has been a pretty winter the way the last two snows hung on the trees it was breathtaking in some spots.

But I am ready for the flowers to bloom, the birds to start nesting. and the grills to be fired up. - Maury Lewis
Thanks. Spring signs do appear late. The Crocus Watch is on now, and, as yet, no sightings, no photographic proof.

Crocus Watch is On, as region awaits signs of Spring

2011-02-13 - Bridgeport, Metcalfe Co., KY - Photo by Johnnietta Jessie.
Spring is late this year., as noted by sunbird M.E. Lewis. I can remember way back in 2008, when springs came a lot earlier. Crocus were in bloom at Edgar Troutman's residence on Dillon Street and photographed for CM on Saturday, February 9, 2008. No one has reported a crocus bloom yet, this year, but the Crocus Watch is officially on. That picture was a news photo, and not very good, but the one above was taken at Georgetta Knight's place at Bridgeport-upon-East Fork, in Metcalfe Co near the Adair County line, in March 18 2008, by Johnnietta Jessie. Seen in the ColumbiaMagazine group on Flickr.
