Mr. Thomas Goff, 85, of Greensburg, KY, departed this life on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 in Louisville, KY at the Norton Audubon Hospital.

The funeral service for Mr. Thomas Goff will be conducted at 1pmCT, Sunday, February 13, 2011 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main ST, Greensburg, KY with burial to follow in the Green County Memory Gardens with Military Rites conducted. The family requests visitation from 3:30-8pmCT on Saturday, February 12, 2011. at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg, KY with Masonic Services at 7pmCT by the Greensburg Masonic Lodge #54 F&AM. All Master Masons are asked to be at the Lodge at 6pmCT.



Pallbearers: Ned Goff, Derek Karnes, Ross Milby, Stephen Mays, Michael Mays, Timmy Marr, J.W. Bennett, Randy Milby, Freddy Milby.

Thomas Goff, Green Co., KY (1925-2011)

Mr. Thomas Goff of Greensburg, Kentucky, was the son of the late Stephen Owen Goff and Una Jeffries Goff. He was born Thursday, September 10, 1925 in Green Co., KY and departed this life on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 in Louisville, Jefferson Co., KY. He was 85 years, four months and 29 days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Summersville Baptist Church. He was a Veteran of World War II, having served in the United States Navy. He was a member of the Greensburg Masonic Lodge No. 54 F&AM and was retired from Civil Service as a comptroller.

He united in marriage on December 17, 1949 to Polly Beams, who survives.

Other survivors include the following:
  • Two daughters: Mary Jane Karnes of Vicksburg, MS, and Judy Goff of Greensburg, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Stephanie Bowles and her husband Steven, and Derek Karnes and his special friend: Miri Williamson all of Greensburg, KY

  • Three great-grandchildren: Ross Milby, Sara Milby and Vinny Williamson all of Greensburg, KY

  • and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Mr. Goff was also preceded in death by a sister and three brothers: Mattie Jane Mays, Ned Goff, Ray Goff and Fred Goff.

The Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main ST, Greensburg, KY, in charge of arrangements.
