Katie Melton registers to march for SIDS awareness

Katie Melton, Columbia, KY, has registered to march 34 total miles across the state of Kentucky raising awareness for SIDS in loving memory of her niece, Bailey Madison Fletcher, May 15, 2002 - September 13, 2002.

The March of Dimes Association will be donating 1,000 dollars to medical research against SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) in honor of Katie's efforts. At various locations she will be accompanied by family, friends, and members of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars from Western Kentucky University with which she is affiliated.

March of Dimes public affairs efforts focus on national and state policies and programs that relate to our mission - improving the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. We are also involved in issues that affect non-profit organizations. Find out more about our cause and how to get involved by calling 1-866-898-4088. -Jenny Druschke
