Organ donation close to home: Family member has need

A larger number of Adair Countians are awaiting organ transplants right now. Writer pleads with everyone to sign to be an Organ Donor. Besides helping others, she reminds that it could be you who needs an organ

Trudy Crabb writes:
My husband and I both signed to be organ donors, years ago...little did we know that my husband would possibly some day be one of those who needs an organ. While on the lung transplant list at Vanderbilt they found lung cancer. The treatment is now over and hopefully he will be back on the transplant list within 5 years.

Many people in our wonderful county don't realize that we, in our county have several who are on transplant lists. What a wonderful gift to be able to give someone life.

Please, I beg everyone to sign their drivers license and become an organ donor. Who knows, it could be you who one day needs an organ or bone marrow -just to name two things that donors can give!! -Trudy Crabb
