He was a native of Breeding, Adair Co. KY. Mr. Williams was retired after a 42 year career as a reset merchandiser for the Pepsi-Cola Company

Joseph M. Williams, Sr. age 68 years of Fairdale, KY formerly of Breeding passedaway Saturday, January 22, 2011 at his home.

Funeral service Thursday, January 27, 2011 at 12:00 noon at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY.Bro. Larry Wisdom the officiating clergy. Interment in Fudge Cemetery, 847 Independence RD, (MAP), Breeding, KY. Visitation after 9amCT Thursday, January 27, 2011, at the funeral home.



Joseph M. Williams, Sr., Adair Co. native (1942-2011)

He was born on Wednesday, February 11, 1942. He was the son of the late John K. and Lyda Mae Harvey Williams of Breeding, Adair Co., KY. He died Saturday, January 22, 2011, in Fairdale, Jefferson Co., KY, the age of 68 years, 11 months, and 11 days.

He is survived by his wife: Beverly Williams of Fairdale, KY, and the following:
  • One daughter: Sharon Chandler of Louisville, KY

  • One son: Joe Williams, Jr. and wife Debbie of Fairdale, KY

  • One sister: Fannie Huff of Columbia, KY

  • One brother: Ronald Williams of Breeding, KY

  • Five grandchildren: Daniel, Whitney, Cheryl, Crystal and Robert

  • Eight great grandchildren

  • Several nieces, nephews

  • and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister: Samuel B. Williams in 1991 and Martha "Cat" Williams in 2003.

He was a retired reset merchandiser for Pepsi Cola for 42 years.

Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home in charge of funeral arrangements.
