High School Cheerleading Squad The Adair County Varsity Cheerleaders received 1st place in the Varsity division in the Cheer Ltd. CANAM Regional Competition at Adair County High School, this past Saturday, January 22, 2011. With the win, the squad received a bid for the CANAM National competition in March 2011 in Myrtle Beach SC. Adair County High School had two stunt groups competing. They finished 1-2: Adair Red won 1st place and Adair Blue was the runner-up. The squad also had two individuals competing. Breanna Meeks won the Senior division and Rachel Burris received first runner up. All received bids to compete at Nationals. The squad will compete in the KAPOS 5th Region Cheerleading Competition, which starts at 3pmET/2pmCT, Sunday, January 30, 2011, at Central Hardin High School, 3040 Leitchfield RD (MAP), in Elizabethtown, KY at the KAPOS 5th Region Competition. High School and Middle School squads will compete for the regional title in the event at Elizabethtown. High school winners will advance to the State KAPOS competition February 19, 2011, at Diddle Arena (MAP), Western Kentucky University, Bowling Green, KY.
