Count Cardinal can Count on an Army of Counters Some BIG names added today: Wendy Burt, David Hennen, Billly Joe Fudge, and the Partins: Terry and Rita, John Luke 9, Macy 7, and Jace 10 months. And Charles and Barbara Barnes and David Waggener Eleven so far today. 21 is the record, so far. Barbara Armitage and Wendy Burt who's just enlisted in this class of recruits, may not have to call on CJE Ann and Mayor Mark to conscript counters for the Great Backyard Bird Count, February 18, 19, 20, and 21, 2011. It looks like there will be volunteers aplenty, if the present pace quickens just a bit. Dozens have answered the call already. The ranks of the counters are swelling, with several additions for today (some came in a little earlier, but paperwork was not completed until today). David Hennen brings experience, "I'll be counting again this year!" Terry Partin commits a whole squad: He writes, "Terry and Rita Partin will be counting birds throughout the Great backyard bird count. We will be assisted by grandchildren, John Luke age 9, Macy age 7, and Jace 10 months - possibly the youngest bird counter of 2011." Billy Joe Fudge brings a lot of expertise and experience to the effort. He sent the word, "Count on Me to Count." Barbara and Charles Barnes and David Waggener wrote that they can be Counted on to Count. "We feed year around and always have several birds here at our home." All these names have been added to the Count on Me to Count list. Add yours using any Contact/Submit form, with your name and "Count on Me to Count," in the subject line.
