Col. Wm. Casey School is embracing computer technology. The school has a new mobile computer lab, with mobile netbooks utilizing a wireless router at the school.

Carla Perkins, District Technology Coordinator, assisted the school in selecting and acquiring the equipment.

Laura Marcum, Technology Cadre Instructor for Col. Wm. Casey Elementary School, has shared the lab with all classes at the school. It is now available for teachers to check-out for use in their classes.

In addition, the school has three Apple iPads in use, and hopes to raise funds to purchase an iPad for all 27 classrooms. The total cost will be about $12,000. The current ones were purchased using school and Title I funds.
