Obituary: Margaret Ann Griffin, 77, Adair Co., KY

She was native of Adair Co., KY, a member of a large respected family with deep roots in Adair and Russell Counties, KY. She was a homemaker and a member of the Millerfield Brethren in Christ

Margaret Ann Griffin, 77, Pear Tree LN, Russell Springs, KY, died Sunday, January 9, 2011, at her residence.

The funeral service will be Thursday, January 13, 2011, at 1pmCT, at Bernard Funeral Home, 367 Main ST, Russell Springs, KY, by Bro. Richard Lehman. Visitation will be after 5pmCT, Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Tarter Cemetery.



Margaret Ann Griffin, Russell Springs, KY (1933-2011)

She was born December 18, 1933 in Adair Co., KY. She was the daughter of the late Gertrude Ann Holt Shepherd and Seathy Shepherd. She died on Sunday, January 9, 2011, in Russell Springs, KY, at the age of 77 years and 22 days.

She was a homemaker and was a member of the Millerfield Brethren in Christ.

She is survived by the following:
  • Seven children: Thomas Anthony (Jodi) Griffin, Indianapolis, IN; Kenneth Beryh ( Ruth) Griffin, Nashville, TN; Ronald Bruce (Debbie) Griffin, Indianapolis, IN; Marty Lewis Griffin, Indianapolis, IN; Lisa (Ronnie) Loy, Jamestown, KY; Patricia Ann Griffin, Indianapolis, IN; and Teresa Louise (James) Delmarte, Portland, TN

  • Two brothers: Gerald Shepherd, Columbia, KY; and Allen Shepherd, Idaho

  • Three sisters: Louise Harden and Audra Pike, both of Columbia, KY; and Agnes Beard, Russell Springs, KY

  • Twelve grandchildren

  • Six great grandchildren

  • One great great grandchild
