Thanks to Wayfaring Stranger for warm affirmation

Reading Janice Holt Giles influenced choice of home here

Sharon Whitehurst writes:
Thank You, Wayfaring Stranger, for such a warm affirmation.

We have always been "small town" folks and I know that (at least in New England) "in-comers" or "out-landers" can be viewed as invaders who upset the local economy and culture.

We thought first of finding a retirement property in NC - Jim's paternal family established there in the late 1700s, but KY seemed a better fit for the way we wish to live.

I read the books of Janet Holt Giles many years ago and when we homed in on south-central Kentucky, it was Adair County which drew us. -Sharon Whitehurst
