Obituary: Mr. Francis Stearman, 95, Green Co, KY He was a member of the Brush Creek Baptist Church and was a lifelong farmer. Mr. Stearman was also a veteran of WWII having served in the United States Army Click on headline for complete obituary and photo(s) Mr. Francis Stearman 88, of Summersville, KY, departed this life on Monday, January 3, 2011 at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, KY. The funeral services for Mr. Francis Stearman will be conducted at 2pmCT, Thursday, January 6, 2011 at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main ST, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Bloyds-Perkins Cemetery in Green Co. Bro. Dannie Nelson will be officiating. Visitation is requested from 4pm until 9pmCT, Wednesday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT, Thursday until time of the funeral service. Pallbearers: Elvis Posey, Justin Milby, R.T. Stearman, Ralph Stearman, Suede Posey, and Marion Walker. Mr. Francis Stearman of Summersville, Green Co., KY (1922-3011) Mr. Francis Stearman of Summersville, Green Co., KY, son of the late Frank M. Stearman and Froni Lewis Bloyd Stearman, was born on May 30, 1922 in Green County, KY, and departed this life on Monday, January 3, 2011, in Elizabethtown, Hardin Co., KY. He was 88 years, 7 months and 4 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Brush Creek Baptist Church and was a lifelong farmer. Mr. Stearman was also a veteran of WWII having served in the United States Army. He united in marriage to Anna Calhoon on December 28, 1940 who survives. Other survivors include several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by four brothers and six sisters: Charlie Stearman, George Stearman, Thomas Stearman, Wesley Stearman, Minnie Skaggs, Flora Cantrell, Gertie Stearman, Lula Walker, Maude Stearman and Elsie Stearman.
