Obituary: Golden Wilson, 87, Edmonton, KY

She was a member of a respected Metcalfe Co. family, a homemaker, and a member of the East Fork Baptist Church

Golden Wilson age 87 of Edmonton, KY, died Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow.

Funeral services will be held 1pmCT, Monday, December 27, 2010, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East ST, Edmonton, KY with burial in the Hubbard Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3pm-8pmCT, Sunday, December 26, 2010, and after 9amCT, Monday at the funeral home.

She was the daughter of the late Elbert and Lois Jessie Harper.

She was a homemaker and member of the East Fork Baptist Church.

She is survived by the following:
  • One son: Jerry (Lola) Wilson of Edmonton, KY

  • One daughter: Helen (JB) Shirley of Edmonton, KY

  • One brother: Ralph Harper of Wisconsin

  • A half sister: Christine Scott of Texas

  • Four grandchildren: Melissa Fancher of Glasgow, KY; Danny Shirley of Bowling Green, KY; Linda Estes of Edmonton and Trenia McLemore of Columbia, TN.

  • Seven great grandchildren
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ezra Lee Wilson, and one brother Donald Harper.

Butler Funeral Home, 201 East ST, Edmonton, KY, in charge of arrangements.
