Obituary: Heloise Neat, 94, Adair Co, KY

She was the highly respected matriarch of a large Adair County family and the widow of the late Aubrey Neat. She was a member of the Okolona Christian Church, and a homemaker. She was a member of the Egypt Gospel Quartet for 25 years and was a correspondent from the Little Cake Community for the Adair County News

Heloise Neat, age 94 years, of Louisville, KY formerly of Adair County passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2010, at 4:56pmET, at Norton Audubon Hospital, Louisville, KY.

Funeral services will be Saturday December 18, 2010 at 1pmCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY. Clergy officiating Bro. Paul Snoddy and Bro. Mike Perkins. Interment will be in Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty RD, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 3pmCT, Friday, December 17, 2010.



Heloise Neat, Adair Co., KY native (1916-2010)

She was born on Monday, August 28, 1916. She was the daughter of the late Garfield and Nettie Howard Collins. She died Tuesday, December 14, 2010, in Louisville, Jefferson Co., KY, at the age of 94 years, 3 months, and 16 days.

She was the widow of Aubrey Neat who preceded her in death on November 14, 1997.

She is survived by the following:
  • One daughter Bea Watson and husband Fred of Munice, IN.

  • Three sons: Randall Neat and wife Fannie of Shepherdsville, KY; Wendell Neat and wife Phyllis, Louisville, KY; and Kenneth Neat and wife Sheila, of Shepherdsville, KY.

  • Nine grandchildren

  • Fifteen great grandchildren,

  • And three great great grandchildren

  • Several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends survive
She was a member of the Okolona Christian Church, homemaker , member of the Egypt Gospel Quartet for 25 years and was a correspondent from the Little Cake Community for the Adair County News.
