Obituary: Maudie Mayanna Ice Gibson, 84, Edmonton, KY

She was a member of the South Edmonton Church of Christ and was a homemaker

Maudie Mayanna Ice Gibson age 84 of Edmonton died Friday, December 3, 2010 at Metcalfe Health Care in Edmonton, KY.

Funeral services will be held 1pmCT, Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East ST, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the Demumbrum Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4pm-8pmCT, Monday, December 6, 2010, and and after 9amCT, Tuesday, December 7, 2010, at the funeral home.



She was born in Anderson, Madison Co., IN, the daughter of the late James Thomas and Pansy Hazel Teal Ice.

Maudie was a homemaker and member of the South Edmonton Church of Christ.

She is survived by the following:
  • Three sons: William T. Gibson of Edmonton, KY; Larry C. Gibson of Brandenburg, KY; and Ricky W. Gibson of Louisville, KY

  • Two daughters: Elizabeth A. Muse McCoy and Cora J. Rice, both of Glasgow, KY

  • One sister: Betty J. Irwin

  • Several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hayden Harvey Gibson; Eight children. Lonnie E. Gibson, Sharon L. Gibson, Betty S. Gibson, Carla J. MeLauglin, Michael A. Gibson, Jim R. Gibson, Kenton J. Gibson and Harvey Gibson Jr.; One brother and two sisters, Wayne Ice, Florence Saubert and Katherine Ice.

Butler Funeral Home, 201 East ST, Edmonton, KY, in charge of arrangements.
