Jaycees 2010 Christmas Radio Auction sets record!

The ADAIR COUNTY WAY works again!
Thanks, Jaycees, for letting ColumbiaMagazine.com play a role. -CM

Billy Rowe called this morning with the Good News that the December 1 and 2, 2010, Jayees Radio Auction has already set a record!

"When we got through counting the money last night at around mid-night, we had $12,067."

This year, the auction was on both Columbia radio stations, WAIN and WHVE.
The money will be used to fund the Jaycees' Christmas deliveries to needy families. "We'll begin the deliveries on December 17 (Friday)," he said.

There's a large list already approved for this year, and families will still be considered by calling (270) 384-1424. That's Rowe's home number. If there's no answer, he asks that callers leave a message on the answering machine.

Contributions are still welcome at Flowers 'n Things, 310 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY, phone (270) 384-4214.
