Obituary: Bobby Jessie, 73, Knifley, KY

He was a member of a large, respected Adair Co., KY family and was a retired dairy farmer

Bobby Jessie, 73, of Knifley, KY, died Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at 12:02am. at Grandview Nursing and Rehab in Campbellsville, KY.

The funeral service will be Saturday, December 4, 2010 at 1pmCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Larry Cooksey, Bro. Elbert Hadley and Bro. Jody Perkins officiating. Burial will be in Chestnut Grove Cemetery, 54 Chestnut Grove RD, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 4pmCT, Friday, December 3, 2010, at the funeral home.


Bobby Jessie, 73, Adair Co., KY (1937-2010)

He was born in Breeding, Adair Co., KY on July 23, 1937. He was the son of the late Oscar and Virgie Estes Jessie. He died Wednesday, December 1, 2010, in Campbellsville, Taylor Co., KY, at the age of 73 years, 4 months, and 8 days.

He was a retired dairy farmer.

He was married to Margaret Compton Jessie who preceded him in death January 30, 2002.

He later married Mary Davidson Jessie, of Knifley, who survives.

In addition to his wife, Mary Jessie, Bobby is survived by the following:One son and daughter in law: Wendell and Donna Jessie of Edmonton, KY
  • One daughter and son in law: Pamela and Howard DeWeese of Summer Shade, KY

  • Two step-daughters: Shelia and husband Michael Boots of Lebanon, KY; and Bea and Rodger Whitlow of Greensburg, KY

  • One brother and sister in law: Pete and Delcie Jessie of Edmonton, KY

  • One sister and brother in law: Margaret and Joe Gadberry of Columbia, KY

  • Four grandchildren : Tony DeWeese, Micah Jessie, McKayla Jessie and LaKeasha and husband Chyson Edwards, KY

  • Nine step grandchildren

  • and 12 step great grandchildren
