She was born in Adair Co., KY and was a member of respected Adair and Taylor Co., KY families. She was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville, KY

Sara Pike of Campbellsville, KY, died at 10:58pmET., Friday, November 26, 2010 in Campbellsville, KY.

Graveside Service will be at 11amET/10amCT, Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at the Green River Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery, by Dr. James E. Jones. The church is located at 3441 Old Columbia RD, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation will be after 5pmET/4pmCT at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon AV, Campbellsville, KY.


Sara Pike, Adair Co., KY, native (1912-2010)

Sara Pike was the daughter of the late Charles Clayton Goodin and Julia Ann Fitzpatrick Goodin. She was born August 31, 1912 in Adair Co., KY. She died Friday, November 26, 2010 in Campbellsville, Taylor Co., KY at the age of 98 years, 2 months, and 28 days.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville, KY.

She united in marriage to Ira Pike April 4, 1932. He preceded her in death June 10, 1989.

She is survived by the following:
  • Two daughters and one son: Rita Faye Caulk of Campbellsville, KY; Geraldine Sullivan and husband Wilton of Jamestown, TN; and Larry Pike and wife Juanita of Louisville, KY

  • Nine grandchildren

  • Eleven great grandchildren

  • One great-great granddaughter

  • Several nieces and nephews

  • And many other relatives and friends
She was also preceded in death by one son, Ira Lynwood Pike September 15, 2006 and nine siblings.

The Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon AV, Campbellsville, KY in charge of arrangements.
