Obituary: Geneva Maxson, 88, Adair Co., KY

She was a long time resident of South Bend Indiana and was a resident of of Snake Creek RD, Columbia, KY at the time of her death.

Geneva Maxson age 88 years of 732 Snake Creek RD, Columbia, KY,. a longtime resident of South Bend, IN, passed away Friday, November 26, 2010 at the Golden Living Green Hill Nursing Center in Greensburg, KY after an illness.

There will be no visitation or funeral services held. Cremation was chosen.

Geneva Maxson, Adair Co., KY (1922-2010)

She was born Monday, February 13, 1922 in Linton, Greene Co., IN and died Friday, November 26, in Greensburg, Green Co., KY, at the age of 88 years, 9 months, and 13 days.She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin C. Maxon in 2005.

She is survived by the following:
  • Two daughters: Patricia Roy and husband Dennis of Columbia, KY; and Jeana Stickney of Buchanan, MI

  • One step daughter: Mandy Radka of Florida

  • Several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Robert Maxon and Melvin J. Maxson.

Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Central Kentucky or the Pure Gospel singing group and may be left at the funeral home.Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY, in charge of arrangements.
