She was a merchant and owner of Anderson's Grocery and was postmaster at Dubre, KY, for over 40 years. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 22, 2010 at 12:00 noon at Willowshade Church of Christ in Willowshade, KY, with burial in the Grider Memorial Cemetery. Visitation for Hazel Alexander will be after 2pmCT on Sunday, November 21, 2010 at Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N. Main ST, in Burkesville, KY, which is in charge of all arrangements. Hazel Anderson Alexander, 83, Dubre, KY (1927-2010) Hazel Anderson Alexander, was born on Monday May 30, 1927 in The Willowshade community. She was the daughter of Ferry and Vera Dubre Anderson. She died Thursday, November 18, 2010, at the Cumberland Co. Hospital in Burkesville, Cumberland Co., KY at the age of 83 years, 5 months, and 19 days. She was a lifelong member of The Willowshade congregation of The Church of Christ, a charter member of the Homemakers club. A merchant and owner of Andersons Grocery at Dubre and was the Postmistress of The Dubre, Ky. Post office for over 40 years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Kermit K. Alexander, and her uncle and aunt, Terry and Florence Anderson. Survivors include the following:
