Obituary: Mrs. Lillie Strader Lobb, 83 Green Co., KY

She was a member of the Community Church at Canmer, KY a homemaker, and the matriarch of a very large, highly regarded family.

Mrs. Lillie Catherine Strader Lobb, 83, Greensburg, KY, departed this life on Friday, November 19, 2010 in Glasgow, KY at the T.J. Samson Community Hospital. .

The funeral service for Mrs. Lillie Catherine Strader Lobb will be conducted Sunday, November 21, 2010 at 2pmCT at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 201 S. Main ST, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Wilson Cemetery. Bro. Gene Puckett, Bro. Dwayne Lobb and Bro. Stanley Milby will be officiating.



Pallbearers: Rodney Robertson, Stephen Lobb, Chris Price, Kevin Moss, Charlie Allen, Kellen Lobb. Marty McNear, and Jonathan Lobb.

Honorary pallbearers: Andrew Singh, Bro. Rod Walley, Shelby Gumm, Dr. Richard Clouse, Bro. Dave Walters, Mitch Hedge, Harry Walker, Lynn T. Blakeman, Bro. Timmy Glass, Doug Hopkins, Ronald Riordan, Danny Brayton, Bro. Ashley Shuffett, Dr. Mody, Todd Sivnksty, Billy Wayne Gumm.

Mrs. Lillie Catherine Strader Lobb, Green Co., KY (1927-2010)

Mrs. Lillie Catherine Strader Lobb was the daughter of the late Lewis and Flossie Gumm Strader. She was born Sunday, April 17, 1927, in Green Co, KY and departed this life on Friday, November 19, 2010 in Glasgow, Barren Co., KY. She was 83 years, 7 months and 2 days of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of The Community Church at Canmer and she was a homemaker.

She united in marriage on November 23, 1946 to Charles Booker Lobb, who preceded her in death on September 2, 2010.

Survivors include the following:
  • Six daughters and three sons and their spouses: Diane and Curtis Robertson of Donansburg, KY; Brenda and Jerry Price of Buffalo, KY; Rita and Gus Allen of Summersville, KY; Nancy and Eddie Franklin of Campbellsville, KY; Mike and Amaryllis Lobb of Mt. Sherman, KY; Vickie and Roger Moss of Summersville, KY; Sammy and Sheila Lobb of Summersville, KY; and Barry Lobb, and Michelle and Ed Milby all of Greensburg.

  • Two brothers and a sister-in-law : William "Top" and Rachel Strader of Greensburg, KY; and Rudolph Strader of Summersville, KY

  • Twenty-two grandchildren

  • Twenty-eight great grandchildren

  • One great-great grandchild

  • Three step grandchildren

  • Five step great grandchildren

  • And a host of other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Lobb was preceded in death by a brother: Bobby Lewis Strader.

Memorials are suggested to the donation of Gideon Bibles, which can be made at the funeral home.

The Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 201 S. Main ST, Greensburg, KY in charge of arrangements.
