Obituary: Bonnie Lou McGowan, 47, Russell Co., KY

She was a member of a highly regarded Russell Co., KY family, a legal secretary, and a member of Mt. Calvary United Baptist Church

Bonnie Lou McGowan, C. McGowan RD, Russell Springs, KY, died Sunday, November 14, 2010, at her residence.

The funeral service will be Thursday, November 18, 2010, at 10amCT, at Bernard Funeral Home Memory Chapel, 367 Main ST, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Preston Richardson and Bro. Marvin Grider the officiating clergy. Special music will be by Larry and Marsha Skaggs, Liana McQueary. Burial will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be at Bernard Funeral Home after 5pmCT, Wednesday, November 17, 2010.



Pallbearers: Jeff McGowan, Kenneth McGowan, David McGowan, Gary Smith, Scott Burton, and Timmy Sullivan.

Bonnie Lou McGowan, Russell Co., KY (1963-2010)

Bonnie Lou McGowan was the daughter of Lela Ashbrook McGowan, who survives, and the late Chester McGowan. She was born Monday, July 15, 1963, in Russell Co., KY, and died Sunday, November 14, 2010, in Russell Springs, Russell Co., KY, at the age of 47 years, 3 months, and 30 days.

In addition to her mother, Lela Ashbrook McGowan, Russell Springs, KY, Bonnie Lou McGowan is survived by the following:
  • Four brothers: James (Sandy) McGowan, Shelby (Andrea) McGowan, Larry (Peggy) McGowan, and Dean (Jenny) McGowan, all of Russell Springs, KY

  • One sister: Jo Ann Coulter, Las Vegas, NV

  • Special friend: Jerry Smith

  • Several nieces and nephews
She was a legal secretary and a member of the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.

Bernard Funeral Home, 367 Main ST, Russell Springs, KY, in charge of arrangements.
