Allene Cox of Campbellsville, KY, 97, died at 6:00 P.M., Thursday, November 11, 2010 in Greensburg, KY.

Funeral services were at 4pmET/3pmCT, Sunday, November 14, 2010 at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon AV, Campbellsville , KY by Rev. Earl WestBurial is in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 3878 Greensburg RD, Campbellsville, KY.



Pallbearers: David Henderson, Lloyd Henderson, Jr., Terry Netherland, Hugh O'Brien, Aaron Pennington, and Adam Pennington.

Allene Rogers Cox, Taylor Co., KY (1912-2010)

Allene Cox was the daughter of the late Al Thomas Rogers and Beatrice Wade Rogers. She was born Wednesday, December 18, 1912, in Adair Co., KY. She died Thursday, November 11, 2010 in Greensburg, Green Co., KY, at the age of 97 years, 10 months, and 27 days.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Hogards Chapel United Methodist Church.

She was retired from Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.

She united in marriage to Clarence C. Cox March 18, 1935. He preceded her in death September 29, 1997.

She is survived by the following:
  • Two daughters: Barbara Netherland of Campbellsville, KY; and Charlotte Henderson and husband, Lloyd, Jr. of Elizabethtown, KY

  • Three grandchildren: Terry Netherland, Edwina Pennington and Mechonda O'Brien and husband, Hugh of Elizabethtown, KY

  • Granddaughter in law, Bonnie Netherland of Campbellsville, KY

  • Six great grandchildren: Katie Netherland of Campbellsville, KY; Emilee O'Brien, Ashlee O'Brien, Adam Pennington and Aaron Pennington of Elizabethtown, KY; and Zachery Pennington of Louisville, KY

  • One great greatgrandson: Jean-Luc Pennington of Elizabethtown, KY

  • One sister: Rachel Mills of Greensburg, KY

  • Sister in law: Bernita Rogers of Greensburg, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, John D. Netherland; a grandson, Steve Netherland; one brother and two sisters: Olin Rogers, Claudine Wilcoxson and Pernie Judd.

The Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon AV, Campbellsville, KY, in charge of arrangements.
