He was the head of a large, respected Adair County family. He leaves 39 direct living descendants. He was of the Baptist faith and was a retired construction worker

Billy Harmon, 73, of Columbia, died Tuesday, November. 2, 2010 at 6:15pmCT at Westlake Regional Hospital, in Columbia, KY.

The funeral service will be Friday, November 5, 2010 at 3pmCT at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Willard Bryant officiating.Burial in Bethlehem Cemetery in Russell Co., KY. Visitation after 12 noon CT, Friday, November 5, 2010.



Billy Harmon, Adair Co., KY (1937-2010)

He was a son of the late Hayden and Betty Mae Roberson Harmon, born July 28, 1937 in Adair Co., KY, and died Tuesday, November 2, 2010, in Columbia, Adair Co., KY, at the age of 73 years, 3 months, and 5 days.

He was a retired construction worker and of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his wife; Hazel McQueary Harmon and a son, Rodney Harmon.

Survivors include the following.
  • One son: Roger Harmon of Russell Springs, KY

  • Six daughters: Pam and her husband Richard Doss, Reda and her husband Roy Rooks all of Columbia, Vickie Phelps of Springfield, TN, Lois and her husband Greg Ferguson of Georgetown, Gayla and her husband Charles Hilliard of Springfield, TN, Lisa Graves of Greenbriar, TN

  • One brother: David Lee Harmon of Liberty, KY

  • One sister: Bessie Shepherd of Russell Springs, KY

  • 15 grandchildren

  • and 17 great-grandchildren
