Roger "Pop" DeSpain, 68, of Buffalo, KY, son of the late Luther DeSpain and EstelleUnderwood DeSpain, was born February 25, 1942, in Taylor Co., KY. He died at 2:27pmCT, Wednesday, October 27, 2010 in Buffalo, KY.

Funeral services were at 8pmET/7pmCT, Friday, October 29, 2010at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon AV, Campbellsville, KY by Bro. Rodney Troutman.

Roger "Pop" DeSpain, 68, of Buffalo, KY, son of the late Luther DeSpain and EstelleUnderwood DeSpain, was born Sunday, February 25, 1942, in Taylor County,Kentucky. He died at 2:27pmCT, Wednesday, October 27, 2010 in Buffalo, KY at the age of 68 years, 7 months, and 28 days.

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Buffalo Baptist Church.He was retired from Ford Motor Company after approximately thirty-eightyears of service.

He united in marriage to Janice Cline September 1, 1961.

Besides his wife, Janice Cline DeSpain of Campbellsville, he is survived by the following:
  • One son and one daughter: Billy DeSpain and wife, Lisa of Campbellsville, KY;and Jayne DeSpain Smith of Bedford, KY

  • Two grandsons: William ElliottDeSpain of Campbellsville, KY; and Treavor Martin Smith of Bedford, KY

  • Mother in law, Betty Jayne Cline of Buffalo, KY

  • And many other relatives and friends
He was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Christopher Todd Smith August 4,2008.The family requests expressions of sympathy be donations to Gideon Bibles or Hospice of Central Kentucky. These may be made at the funeral home.

The Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon AV, in charge of arrrangements.
