Obituary: Sarah Kay Irvin Gardner, 30, Adair Co., KY

She was a member of a highly regarded Adair County family, a member of Middletown Christian Church in Louisville, KY, a member of the Alpha Delta Pi Sorority and was a Sales representative for Quantum Graphix

Sarah Kay Irvin Gardner age 30 years of Louisville, KY, formerly of Columbia, KY, passed away Sunday, October 24, 2010 at 9:29am at her mother's home in Louisville after an illness.

The funeral service will be Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at 10:30amCT, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 2418 Campbellsville RD, Columbia, KY with Bro. Troy Long the officiating clergy. Interment will be in Bearwallow Cemetery, 6080 Liberty RD, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 1pmCT, Tuesday, October 26, 2010, at Trinity United Methodist Church and after 6:30amCT, Wednesday, October 27, 2010, at the church.



Pallbearers: Casey Berger, Chris Gardner, Scott Gardner, Brandon Phillips, Justin Prather Donovan Schultz and Kyle Wise.

Honorary Pallbearers: Michael Highbaugh, Nathan Highbaugh, Brent Highbaugh, Caleb Irvin, Travis Garner, Josh Garner, Chris Rountree, Brandon Rountree, and Michael Rountree.

Sarah Kay Irvin Gardner, Adair Co., KY (1980-2010)

She born on Wednesday July 16, 1980. She was the daughter Marshall Irvin and Angie Rountree Irvin. She died Sunday, October 24, 2010, in Louisville, Jefferson Co., KY, at the age of 30 years, 3 months, and 11 days.

She is survived by her father, Marshall Irvin and wife Sharon of Columbia, KY, and Angie Rountree Irvin of Louisville, KY.She is survived by her husband Stephen C. Gardner of Louisville, KY, and the following:
  • One daughter: Caroline Kay Gardner of Louisville, KY

  • One brother: Wes Irvin and wife Andrea of Columbia, KY

  • One sister: Erica Irvin Higginbotham and husband Patrick, Lexington, KY

  • Nieces and nephews: Elliot, Aubrey and Evelyn Higginbotham, Lleyton, Hueston and Gracie Gardner

  • Grandmothers: Dorothy Rountree of Louisville, KY and Helen Irvin of Columbia, KY

  • Mother in law: Carolyn Husdson and husband Ken of Louisville, KY

  • Father in law: Dave Gardner of Alabama

  • Brothers in law: Chris Gardner and wife Christi and Scott Gardner and wife Genny

  • Sister in law: Terri Gardner

  • Grandmothers in law: Margaret Richel and Evelyn Gardner

  • And a host of other relatives and friends
She was preceded in death by her Grandfathers Rev. William M. Rountree and Ernest "Small Boy" Irvin.

She was a member of Middletown Christian Church in Louisville, a member of the Alpha Delta Pi Sorority and Sales representative for Quantum Graphix.

Memorials are suggested to Adair County Relay for Life and may be made at the funeral home or the Church.
