Garden Club has special treats for Downtown Days Apple Butter, Cinnamon Rolls, Bread Rounds. And Breakfast will be served with Biscuits and Sausage or Ham, Coffee or Hot Chocolate. By Barbara Armitage, President Adair County Garden Club With the Columbia Downtown Days Festival only days away the excitement is building. Friends, neighbors and families will come together on Friday and Saturday October 8 and 9, 2010, in downtown Columbia, KY, to celebrate our community. The Adair County Garden Club would like to extend an invitation to everyone to join us for a great time. Be sure to visit our "Garden Cafe" on Burkesville ST on Saturday October 9, 2010 - you'll find delightful treats to tempt your taste buds there as well as some special treats for the birds. Maury Lewis's homemade apple butter made from local apples went fast last year; be sure to get yours early, Barbara Armitage is baking her famous Cinnamon Rolls and rounds of bread, apple slices with caramel dipping sauce make a healthy treat. Many of Adair County's best bakers are preparing delicious goodies for you. Come early and enjoy breakfast with us - the biscuits with sausage or ham will be ready early along with steaming hot cups of coffee or hot chocolate. This is your chance to support the ACGC through your contributions and purchases with 100% of the proceeds supporting projects and education in Adair County. For your convenience you are welcome to pre-order our Apple Butter and Cinnamon Rolls. We are taking orders now for delivery on Friday, October 8, 2010, to your home or office or for pick-up at Downtown Days Saturday October 9, 2010. Call (270) 250-2979.
