There will be Apple Butter at Downtown Days! Homemade Apple Butter will again be sold by the Adair County Garden Club. Yes, you can reserve your stash by calling (270) 250-2979. And 100% of the proceeds benefits the Adair County Garden Club. By Barbara Armitage, President AC Garden Club Although the calendar tells us that it's Fall it's hard to get in the mood when the thermometer is hitting still 95. Members of the Adair County Garden Club said goodbye to Summer by spending the day on Tuesday picking bushels of apples and loads of pumpkins destined for the kitchens of Adair County's finest chefs. Although whiffs of pies baking have already begun to fill the air it's the delightful aroma of the ACGC's Homemade Apple Butter simmering that is getting attention. Back this year by popular demand our very special Apple Butter will be available at the ACGC booth at Downtown Days on Saturday October 9th in limited quantities. To beat the crowds and guarantee your order - call and order today. 100% of all proceeds stay with the Adair County Garden Club and are used to support community based projects. To place an order or for more information on the Adair County Garden Club please contact Barbara Armitage at (270) 250-2979. This story was posted on 2010-09-22 12:14:25
