ACHS Boys capture 5th place in Prestigious Rosewood Golf Invitational Adair Scoring: Alex Durham (77). Van Giles (80), Daniel Rarey (84). Riley Grant (85). Colby Robertso (86). By Steve Burton, Boys Golf Coach News from Adair County High School Athletics The Adair County High School Boys Golf Team fired a 326 that was good enough to take 5th place in the prestigious Rosewood Invitational Tournament, out of 24 of the top teams from all over Kentucky. The tournament was held Saturday, September 18, 2010, in Lebanon, KY. Alex Durham led the way with a round of 77. Van Giles (80), Daniel Rarey (84), Riley Grant (85) and Colby Robertson's (86) rounded out the scoring for the tribe. We accomplished our goal of a top 5 finish. This was an extremely difficult field. We were only a couple of shots out of a 3rd place finish which is really encouraging as well. The course was set up very difficult and our boys responded well. There was only 1 team from our region that finished ahead of us. This was definitely a tournament that lets you see how you match up with some of the best teams in the state. I am proud of our boys. We are gearing up for the last week in regular season play. -Coach Steve Burton NextACHS Boys Golf vs Green Co. vs. Marion Co.
