Obituary: Rose M. Goodin, 78, Taylor Co., KY

She was a native of Adair County, formerly of Knifley, KY. She was a member of the Campbellsville Church of the Nazarene. She has been a seamstress for Oshkosh Industries and was a homemaker.

Rose M. Goodin, age 78 years of Campbellsville, KY, formerly of Knifley, KY, passed away Friday, September 17, 2010 at the Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville, Ky after an illness.

The funeral service will Monday, September 20, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Stotts-Phelps- McQuearyFuneral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY, with Rev. Clifton Hale the officiating clergy. Interment in the Adkins Cemetery on Sulphur Creek RD, Columbia, KY. The family request visiting after 5pmCT, on Sunday, September 20, 2010, at the funeral home.



Rose M. Goodin, Taylor Co., KY (1932-2010)

She was the daughter of the late Lillie Mae Redford of Adair County, KY. She was born Friday, July 22, 1932 Born at Ella in Adair Co., KY and died Friday, September 17, 2010, in Campbellsville, Taylor Co., KY, at the age of 78 years, 1 months, and 26 days.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, James William Goodin and Les Griffis.

She is survived by the following:
  • One daughter: Myrna Goodin-Stahler of Camden, MI

  • One son: Darrell L. Goodin of St. Petersburg, FL

  • One brother: Jimmy Redford of St. Petersburg, FL

  • Two sisters: Lavern Coffey of Indianapolis, IN; and Reba Sue Hadley, of Knifley, KY

  • One half sister: Ora Franklin of Shelbyville, IN

  • Nine grandchildren: Angel Troyer, Myrna Mills, James Goodin, Victoria Goodin, Sterling Goodin, Annie Bowman, Shannon Bowman, Daniel Lambo & Danielle Lambo

  • Ten great grandchildren

  • One great great grandchild
She was preceded in death by a daughter: Edith "Edie" Mae Goodin-Adams on April19, 2007; and by one half sister: Pauline Sallee.

Mrs. Goodin was a member of the Campbellsville Church of the Nazarene, a seamstress for Oshkosh Industries, and was a homemaker.

Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
