Obituary: Opal Sallee, 90, formerly of Taylor Co., KY

She was a member of a respected Taylor Co., KY family and of the Campbellsville Baptist Church

Opal Sallee, 90, of Ashburn, VA, formerly of Campbellsville, KY, died at 8:26pmET, Wednesday, September 8, 2010, in Leesburg, VA.

Graveside services were held Saturday, September 11, 2010, at Brookside Cemetery in Campbellsville, KY, by Dr. James Jones.



Opal Sallee, formerly of Taylor Co., KY (1920-2010)

Opal Sallee of Ashburn, VA, formerly of Campbellsville, KY, daughter of the late Jesse Oman Sullivan and Callie B. Davis Sullivan, was born in Taylor Co., KY, Sunday, May 9, 1920. She died Wednesday, September 8, 2010, in Leesburg, Loudoun Co., VA. at the age of 90 years, 3 months, and 30 days.

She had professed faith in Christ and was a member of the CampbellsvilleBaptist Church.

She united in marriage to Lewis Sallee August 15, 1942. He preceded her indeath December 10, 1984.

She is survived by the following:
  • One son and daughter-in-law, Glen Allan and Linda Sallee of Ashburn, VA

  • Two grandchildren: Jason Lewis Sallee andJennifer Erin Sallee of Ashburn, VA

  • And many cousins and friends
