Obituary: Mabel M. Passmore, 65, Russell Co., KY

She was a homemaker and was the matriarch of a large family, with deep roots in Russell and Casey Counties, KY. She leaves 26 direct living descendants.

Mabel M. Passmore, 65, Parks Ridge RD, Russell Springs, KY, died Wednesdy, September 8, 2010, at 9:15 pm, in Russell Springs, KY.

The funeral will be at 2pmCT/3pmET on Saturday, September 11, 2010, at Bethel United Baptist Church, Decatur RD, Dunnville, KY, with Bro. David Green Officiating. Burial will be in Bethel United Baptist Church Cemetery, Dunnville, KY. Visitation will be at 5pmCT/6pmET, Friday, September 10, 2010, at the church.


Mabel M. Passmore, Russell Co., KY (1944-2010)

Mabel M. Passmore was the daughter of the late Herman and Irene Johnson Hall. She was born December 27, 1944, in Jamestown, Russell Co., KY, and died Wednesday, September 8, 2010, in Russell Springs, Russell Co., KY at the age of 65 years, 8 months, and 12 days.

She was a homemaker.

She was the widow of the late Roy Passmore.

She is survived by the following:
  • Four sons: Bo Passmore, Ricky Passmore, Burl Passmore, and Jeff Passmore, all of Russell Springs, KY

  • Four daughters: Phyllis Crew, Russell Springs, KY; Pam Spaw and Susie Luttrell, both of Liberty, KY; and Gail Passmore, Russell Springs, KY

  • Two sisters: Betty McQueary, Liberty, KY; and Alma Crew, Russell Springs, KY

  • Fourteen grandchildren

  • Four great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by one son, Roy Lee Passmore; two grandchildren, two great grandchildren, three brothers, Bud, Earl and Eddie Hall; and three sisters, Helen Crew, Katie Compton, and Lizzie Spaw.

H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N. Main ST, Jamestown, KY, in charge of arrangements.
