Adair Co. Singing Convention planned for September 19, 2010 Event will raise funds for Preservation and Restoration of the Historic Adair Co. Courthouse By Martha Martin News from the Adair Heritage Association, Inc. Planning is underway for an old fashioned Adair County Singing Convention to be held downtown in Columbia, KY, on Sunday, September 19, 2010. The event is being patterned after similar events which used to be held with great success in Jamestown, KY, Martha Martin, the head of the Adair Heritage Association committee responsible for the convention said.. Singing groups including choirs and other church groups or solosits from every church in Adair County are invited to take part. A Freewill offering will be taken up for the Adair Heritage Association to help with the restoration and preservation of the historic Adair County Courthouse at 500 Public Square.
