Big news this week on the Economic Development front Adair County natives Ken and Rob Wilkerson are bringing first major manufacturing facility to Green River Commerce Park. Site work already underway for new 15,000 s.f. building, which will be in addition to the company's present facilities on the former Karnes Dyno-Rev site. Company ships to worldwide market. Tuesday, August 17, 2010, will be a red-letter day in Adair County Economic Development history, as the community celebrates a successful manufacturing firm headed by native sons Ken and Rob Wilkerson to the Green River Commerce Park. The day's developments begin with a special called meeting of the Columbia-Adair County Economic Development Board Tuesday, August 17, 2010, at 8pmCT, at the Chamber builiding, 201 Burkesville ST, Columbia, KY. The purpose of the meeting will be to adopt the CACEDA budget for 2010-2011. The meeting is open to the public, Sue Stivers, Executive Director of the CACEDA announced. At 9amCT, Tuesday, August 17, 2010, the Board will hold a special news conference at the Assisted Transportation Systems ATS website plant, 238 Development DR, Columbia, KY in the Green River Commerce Park to make a special announcement about a new industry in Adair County, owned by Adair County natives Kenneth Wilkerson and his son Rob Wilkerson. The company is a major U.S. producer of retrofitted vans for transportation companies similar to Sharon and Bobby Burton's H & H Cab Company of Columbia, KY. The products are shipped internationally.
