Obituary: C.B. Carman, 73, Casey Co., KY

He was the head of a large, respected Casey County family. He was a member of and the pastor of Indian Creek Baptist Church. He was a Mason and was a former Frito-Lay transport driver

C.B. Carman, 73, Middleburg, KY, died Monday, August 9, 2010, at the U.K. Medical Center, Lexington, KY.

The Funeral Services will be at 2pmET/1pmCT, Thursday, August 12, 2010, at the Bartle Funeral Home, 142 Hwy 49, Liberty, KY. with Rev. Chris Dalton and John P. Cummins officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5pmET/4pmCT, at the Bartle Funeral Home Chapel.

C.B. Carman was born Wednesday, May 5, 1937, in Casey County, KY. He was the son of the late Herbert and Beulah Hatter Carman. He died Monday, August 9, 2010, in Lexington, Fayette Co., KY, at the age of 73 years, 3 months, and 5 days.
  • One son: Todd Carman, Kings Mountain, KY

  • Four daughters: Kim Patten and Kara Hundley, both of Middleburg, KY; Karla Raney of Liberty, KY, and Kanita Lopez-Samayoa, of Pasco, WA

  • Three brothers: Glen Carman of Liberty, KY; Edwin Carman, McKinney, KY; and Creech Carman of Yesemite, KY

  • One sister: Emma Lanham, Somerset, KY

  • Seventeen grandchildren

  • Three great grandchildren
  • He was preceded in death by five brothers, Oval "Punk", Edward, Roy "Tead," Elvin and Leweis Carman and one sister, Lera Carman.

    Bartle Funeral Home, 142 Hwy 49, Liberty, KY, in charge of arrangements.
