Veterans to pay homage to Coy Turner on August 2, 2010

Two who served with Coy Turner in Vietnam will visit the area. Joe Hare will be hosting, and he asks any other veteran who would like to be a part of the activities to contact him

By Joe Hare

On Monday Aug 2, 2010, a little before noon there will be two US Army Vietnam Veterans making a visit to Columbia to visit the gravesite of a brave Adair Countian, Coy Turner.

They served with Coy in the 173rd Airborne Brigade in South Vietnam in 1967. I have been asked by LV Turner and Joe Feese to meet these guys and invite any veteran who would like to meet and greet these gentlemen to join us.

There are no formal events planned and anyone intrested in being a part of this may contact me, Joe Hare at (270) 634-0285, (270) 384-3672 or by email at jlhare1@gmail.com. If anyone had just a few minutes to meet them, shake their hand and welcome them to Columbia would be great. -Joe Hare
