Thanksgiving Dinner planning group meets August 5, 2010

There will be a Community Thanksgiving Dinner planning meeting at 7pmCT, Thursday, August 5, 2010, at the Chamber Building, 201 Burkesville ST, Columbia, KY. Everyone is welcome to join the planning. The purpose of the meeting is to plan a dinner for persons with disabilities, shut-ins, those in need, and others, similar to Thanksgiving Day dinners served in other towns.

"Russell County has had one for years," Charles Grimsley, one of the organizers said. "Lisa Clark and her mother have been active in helping with the dinner for years," he said. "Jimmy and Salli Kemp and Francine Neat are the primary organizers," he said. "I think we ought to have a similar one in Adair County."
