We celebrate the Fourth of July tonight with Fireworks display at the Fair Adair County celebrates the Fourth of July in a big way tonight, with the biggest Fireworks Display of the year. It's one big, universally loved celebration of America's Independence! The show is free. Thousands will be watching from homes, from Lindsey Wilson College's parking lot and campus vantage points, from Young Street, from Gobbler's Knob, from Radio Hill on Liberty Road, and from points from miles around, including high ridge lines 10 miles from the center of the action at 413 Fairground ST, Columbia, KY. Tailgaters will be setting up at favorite stations and lawn chairs will be everywhere, if tonight follows the pattern of recent years. Every year, someone finds a new venue which becomes their favorite spot. Expect to see photographers everywhere. Some will be setting up with lavish equipment which will guarantee spectacular shots. Some will be using point-and-clicks and will, if history repeats, capture some moments better than anyone. Some will be using cell phones with heretofore unbelievable production. Please share photos with CM. On both the CM group at Flickr.com and by sending directly to the magazine. We hope some will send using cellphones. Today's schedule, for Sunday, July 4, 2010 include:
