Obituary: William Lester (Bill) Tucker, 72, Taylor Co., KY

He was a farmer and a member of Fairview Baptist Church

William Lester "Bill" Tucker, age 72, of Campbellsville, died Thursday, July 1, 2010 at his residence after an illness.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11amET/10amCT, Monday, July 5, 2010 at the Lyon DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel, 503 East Main ST, Campbellsville, KY. Bro. Don Gowin will officiate. Visitation will be from 5-8pmET/4-7CT, at the funeral home.


William Lester "Bill" Tucker, Taylor Co., KY (1937-2010)

He was the son of the late McKinley and Lola Mann Tucker. He was born August 24, 1937, and died Thursday, July 1, 2010, in Campbellsville, Taylor Co., KY, at the age of 72 years, 10 months, and 7 days.

Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers, Robert Tucker, Frank Tucker, Hubert Tucker and Dan Tucker and half sister, Lela Hicks.

He was a farmer and a member of Fairview Baptist Church.

.He is survived by his wife, Connie S. Tucker of Campbellsville, KY, and the following:
  • One son: David Lester Tucker, Campbellsville, KY

  • One daughter and son-in-law: Tammi and Jimmy Roution, Campbellsville, KY

  • Two grandchildren: John Roution and special friend, Megan Kemp, and Chase Roution all of Campbellsville, KY

  • Two sisters: Linda Bland and Thelma Sallee both of Campbellsville, KY

  • And half brother: C. W. Mann of Shepherdsville, KY
Lyon Dewitt Funeral Home, 503 East Main ST, Campbellsville, KY, in charge of arrangements.
