She was a member of a respected family with deep roots in South Adair County. She was a homemaker and the widow of Elmer Baker

Louise Baker, 83, Jeffersonville, IN, formerly of Adair Co., KY, passed away on June 14, 2010, at the Friendship House in Louisville, KY.

The funeral service will be at 11amET/10amCT, Friday, June 18, 2010, at E.M. Coots & Sons Funeral Home, 120 West Maple ST, Jeffersonville, IN. Visitation will be from 4pm-8pmET/3pm-7pmCT, at Coots & Sons Funeral Home. A graveside service will be Friday, June 18, 2010, at 1:30pmCT, at the Antioch Cemetery, 8147 Burkesville RD, in Adair Co., KY.

Louise Crawhorn Baker, Adair Co., KY native (1926-2010)

She was born on July 17, 1926, in Adair Co., KY.She was the daughter of the late James and Eva Coomer Crawhorn. She passed away on June 14, 2010, in Louisville, Jefferson Co., KY, at the age of 83 years, 10 months, and 28 days.

She was a homemaker, and the widow of Elmer Baker.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Pamela Baker; two sons, Billy Joe Baker and Chris Baker; and two brothers, Bobby Crawhorn and Chester Crawhorn.

Survivors include the following:
  • One son: Robert C. Baker and his wife Candy, Jeffersonville, IN

  • One daughter: Paula Carey-Poole and her husband Mike, Louisville, KY

  • One brother: James Crawhorn and his wife Becky, Louisville, KY

  • One sister: Blanche Nelson and her husband Eugene, Chicago, IL

  • Seven grandchildren: Tonya Reynolds and her husband Joe; Andrew Baker, Maggie Baker, Katie Baker, Ian Carey, John Carey, and Jordan Baker

  • One step grandson: Chris Prince

  • Four great grandchildren

  • One special cousin: Kathy Oakley
