Obituary: Peggy Doris Hull Jeffries, Metcalfe Co., KY She was a highly respected citizen of Metcalfe Co., KY. A native of Taunton, England, she served as an anti-aircraft gunner in World War II. She was the widow of Stanley Jeffries, whom she met and married during the war. She was a former school teacher, former manager of the Edmonton Toll Plaza, and was a founding member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church. Peggy Doris Hull Jeffries, 91, Savoyard, KY died Sunday, May 9, 2010 at Britthaven of Bowling Green, KY. Funeral services for Peggy Doris Hull Jeffries will be held at 1pmCT, Thursday, May 13, 2010, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East ST, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the Jeffries Cemetery at Savoyard in North Metcalfe Co. Visitation will be from 4pm to 8pmCT Wednesday, May 12, and after 9amCT, Thursday, May 13, 2010, at the funeral home. Peggy Doris Hull Jeffries was born in Taunton, England. She was the daughter of the late Earnest and Kate Harris Hull. She was a former teacher in the Metcalfe Co., KY, School System and wasa former Manager of the Edmonton Toll Plaza. During World War II Peggy served as air raid warden and served as anti-aircraft gunner in England. Peggy Jeffries met her husband Stanley Jeffries in England during World War II. They were married there February 15, 1945. He preceded her in death September 17, 1967. She was one of the founding members of the of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Glasgow, KY In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Metcalfe County Public Library, Jeffries Cemetery Memorial Fund of Savoyard at any Edmonton State Bank or BRAWA. Peggy is survived by the following:
