Flooding, May 2, 2010: Heavy flooding in Colony Townhouses Click on headline for story plus photos as posted By Ed Waggener Flooding at Colony Townhouses Phyllis Hogan, an RN who just moved to Columbia, KY to work at Spectrum Academy called at 10:32amCT to say that her townhouse at 179 Colony is being flooded and her furniture, and that of her neighbors is being ruined by water. "We need help to move our furniture," she said. "At least seven of the townhouses are affected," she said. Flooding stops traffic on some roads Flooding has stopped traffic on several roads in the county this morning, including Pelham Branch Road, Gradyville, Clear Springs, and on KY 55 in Glens Fork. Bull Run Creek is highest in five years Barbara Armitage reports from her home at The Farm, Tucker's Station, 1535 Bull Run Road that the creek is higher than she's seen it in the five years she's lived there. But the photographer in her impelled her to get out, save a cat, and take photos. "I braved a trip to the front yard in between lighting strikes for these - the trip was worth it I was able to rescue a very wet angry cat sitting under the porch while I was there," she wrote, "I will dry off the cat and change my clothes and go back out in a while for more pictures. No one wants to see a 56 year old woman in a wet T-shirt," she said.
