Obituary: Dorothy B. Murphy, 62 Adair Co., KY native

She was a member of a respected Russell Co., KY family. She was a homemaker

Dorothy B. Murphy, 62, Oak Grove RD, Russell Springs, KY, died Friday, April 23, 2010, at 12:30amCT at the Taylor Regional Hospital, Campbellsville, KY.

The funeral service will be at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N. Main ST, Jamestown, KY at 3pmCT, Sunday, April 25, with Bro. John Bennett officiating. Burial will be in the Russell Springs City Cemetery, Russell Springs, KY. Visitation will be after 11amCT, Sunday, April 25, at the funeral home.



Dorothy B. Murphy, Adair Co., KY native (1948-2010)

Dorothy B. Murphy was the daughter of the late Arvil Conover and Emma Murrell Conover. She was born Sunday, April 11, 1948, in Columbia, Adair Co., KY, and died Friday, April 23, 2010, in Campbellsville, Taylor Co., KY, at the age of 62 years and 12 days.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Earl Murphy.

She was a homemaker.

She is survived by the following:
  • One son: Joe Murphy, Russell Springs, KY

  • Two daughters: Arlene Rein, Radcliff, KY; and Nellie Stargle, Liberty, KY

  • Two brothers: James Conover and Roy Conover, both of Indiana

  • Three sisters: Geneva Melson, Doris Conover, and Barbara York, all of Jamestown, KY

  • Six grandchildren
Besides her husband, she was also preceded in death by one brother, Lewis Conover, and one sister, Elsie Oller

H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, Jamestown, KY, is in charge of arrangements.
