Obituary: Carl T. Jessie, 75, Adair Co. KY native

He was a member of a large, respected Adair Co., KY, family. He attended Windsor Baptist Church and was the former owner of Carl's Saw Shop on KY 704 in Columbia, Adair Co., KY.

Carl T. Jessie, 75, Russell Springs, KY, died Wednesday, April 21, 2010, at 4pmCT, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, KY.

The funeral service will be Saturday, April 24, 2010, at 3pmCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Gary Morris officiating. Burial will be in Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty RD, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 2pmCT, Friday, April 23, 2010, at the funeral home.



Carl T. Jessie, 75, Russell Springs, KY (1934-2010)

He was the son of the late Roach Jessie and Mary M. Wilson Jessie, who survives. He was born October 30, 1934 in Adair County, KY and died April 21, 2010, in Somerset, Pulaski Co., KY, at the age of 75 years, 5 months, and 22 days.

He attended Windsor Baptist church and was owner of Carl's Saw Shop on KY 704 for many years. Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife, Nancy Bryant Jessie of Russell Springs, KY, and the following:
  • One son and daughter in law: Michael and Freida Jessie, Windsor, KY

  • One daughter and son in law: Sherry and Neil Wright, Russell Springs, KY

  • One brother and sister in law: Glen and Sharon Jessie, Chicago, IL

  • Two sisters and brother in law: Elsie and Willard Baker, Columbia, KY; and Betsy Fintcher, Russell Springs, KY

  • Five grandchildren and four great grandchildren
Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY, is in charge of arrangements.
