34 Groups signed to help with 2010 PRIDE Spring cleanup

Groups can earn up to $50 per mile of roadway cleaned

By Lisa Lee, Adair Co. Co-Pride Coordinator

Just reminding everyone Saturday, April 17, 2010 is our County PRIDE Cleanup day. So far we have 34 groups signed up to clean our county roadsides, but we can always use more.

We will be behind the Annex Building, 424 Public Square, Columbia, KY, in the back parking lot between 7:30 and 8;00amCT with sign in sheets, t-shirts, coffee, juice, and donuts, at around 8amCT.

We will leave to pick up our selected roads and at 11:00 we will meet back at the Roadside Park, 2310 Hwy 55 S Road, Columbia, KY.

Johnnie Jones will be grilling hamburgers, and hot dogs. We have several drawings for prizes, but could always use more, if anyone would like to donate. Also, for any non-profit group wanting to make extra money, we will pay $50 per/mile for up to five miles of roadway cleaned.

Hope to see you Saturday. -Lisa Lee, Administrative Assistant, Adair County Judge/Executive Ann Melton's Office and Co-PRIDE Coordinator
